I woke up alive, so here we go again

I woke up alive, sat up in my bed, put my feet on the floor, and I scratched my head,
What will I do today, I wondered to myself, didn’t really think, about my state of health.
You see I woke up alive, but I didn’t realize, what a precious gift, that I was blessed with,
So I live without thinkin’, if there will be tomorrow, get it while I can, ain’t got time for pain or sorrow.
I like to take it easy, I like to keep it free, I’m taking in the twenty-first century,
I see the world around me, and lot’s of things are wrong,
I don’t like to think about it for too long.
I would like to save the world, in a natural way,
But me and no one else can seem to find a way.
We could sit and wonder, what is it all about, or we could go and party ‘till we all pass out.
Slumber…

I woke up alive, so here we go again

I woke up alive, a little smarter today, beginning to see, maybe a better way.
But you know the injustice, fills my soul with rage,
No matter where you look, people in a cage.
When you’re chokin’ on hate it’s not an easy thing,
To remember brother Gandhi and Doctor King.
To change a person’s heart cannot be done by force,
To kill hate takes love and we are the source.
Maybe I can make a difference, just wait and see,
I start to notice some are lookin’ up to me.
I see the time is passin’, ease my foot up from the gassin’,
Try to leave a place, for the future human race.
Only one thing I can do, you can come and try it too,
Don’t get mad and resign, if it takes a little time.
A journey to respect, starts with a first step,
A gradual removement, continual improvement,
Make to-day better than yes-ter-day. repeat

I woke up alive, a little smarter than before, thinkin’ more about steppin,’ through the next door,
Here we go again, another day I’ve seen, another day of going through the same routine.
I hear the clock a tickin’, it doesn’t go away, I try to feel some gratitude for each and every day.
But while I have some time, I will not waste the dime, feeling like I could, still do some good.
I want to change the world, in a natural way, the more I think about it seems there could be a way.
We are children of the earth, in that we’re all the same, if our ’sphere gets killed it’s only us to blame.
We have to work together there’s no other way to do it, we will live or die together, only time will prove it.
Another thing I learned, life can vanish in a second, it also goes by fast, quicker than you ever reckoned.
Brothers, sisters, mamas and dads, none of us knows how much longer we have.
So love all those around you, every single one. You never know, a moment, could be the last one.
Life is short and sweet, I came to realize, the end can come anytime as a surprise.
It could happen any moment…





We all can do it, if we all get to it, if we all give a bit, then we all benefit.
Listen what he say, there can be a better way, just make today better than yesterday.
